This is Owen's friend Fireman Freddy. Freddy is a really incredible puppet who LOVES to play hide and seek (although he's not very good at it).Paul was the first one to be the puppeteer ... and then I tried him on and Owen literally yanked him off my hand and ran him back to Paul. My own son is my harshest critic! What is the world coming to!

Freddy likes to sing ballads of his own bravery, loudly and to anyone who'll listen.
But most fires are either too hot, or simply too inconvenient to be bothered with, so he doesn't do much actual fire extinguishing. -- That and he gets slightly panicky when he smells smoke or thinks a fire may be near by. Then he spends more time weighing options than finally getting to the business of putting water to fire.
All-in-all, he's a bit useless as a fireman but a funny character to have around. Luckily fires are pretty rare at our house.
