While on Spring Break last week, we had an outdoor adventure to celebrate the arrival of spring. It was a rainy, drizzly kind of morning -- which in San Diego is quite something to celebrate since we are in dire need of water -- and this meant also that the boys could wear their rain jackets and break out the umbrella which gets far too little use. We headed out the door to greet the day and look for signs of spring.
I let Owen take pictures whenever he saw spring coming alive. Like this one:
We took plenty of deep breaths of air and really noticed the world around us. The treatening rain stopped threatening, and before long we had doffed our jackets and spent the rest of the morning throwing rocks into the river.
I hope you are all as excited about spring as we are! Click here for our photostream.

The pictures are so vivid I can almost inhale the fresh air from my recliner. Owen, you are a good photographer (and you, too, Lisel). These pictures do indeed prove that spring is here. GG
What a cool way to spend the day! It is great to see nature come alive each spring. It reminds me of how faithful and good our Great God is!! Thank you Lord Jesus! There is none of us that can make this kind of beauty!!! I agree--Owen you took a fantastic picture!!!! Someday you will have to visit Uncle Bill's bee farm!! They (the bees) are very active when God gives them a warm day. No sitting around in the hive for them!!! :-) We have only had a couple of warm days so we are about ready to jump out of our skin in Michigan!!!

This is a wonderful reminder that not all places are bleak and grey (or white with snow) like Alaska. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing such great photography and smiles. It made my day! Love to you all...Kirstie
