THE CRUMPET SHOP. SPACE NEEDLE. PACIFIC SCIENCE CENTER.
We started by going to the Crumpet Shop in Pike Place Market where Owen was enraptured with the crumpet making process. We had a lovely, leisurely breakfast while Owen endeared himself to the crumpet baker by watching her with his biggest eyes-like-saucers look.

Then, on to the requisite tourist stops. Ok, the Space Needle is interesting, but the Science Center was FANTASTIC! We spent such a long time there and it was a great experience. There were tons of interactive exhibits and a Butterfly House. Owen was so worried about stepping on butterflies, he wanted us to carry him through the exhibit while he kept warning us to be careful. "Look out!"

I don't think there are any butterflies in that picture, but they were everywhere! It was quite beautiful.
This is Owen playing with a water cannon at the Science Center:

More tomorrow!....
and by the way HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!
