....another wrenching display of brotherly love.
We dropped off Owen at school again today and Elliot cried and cried as we walked away and up the hill to home. He definitely does not like seeing Owen say goodbye.... I appeased him with a banana and we counted school buses in the neighborhood as we walked home. Hopefully this will get easier for him.
Of course once we got home he got down to the business of playing and did so beautifully -- with creativity, joy and vigor. He plays so differently when Owen isn't around.... very thoughtfully and carefully. In all his 1 1/2 years, he and I have had very little Mommy and Elliot time. I'm excited for all of us as we make our way through this school year.

Elliot is going to be so ready to go to school in--what is it---3 1/2 years. There will be no more goodbyes to Owen. He will get to stay. You are in for a treat, Lisel, as you get to know Elliot better with a one-on-one relationship!! I hope the school year goes well for all of you. How was Owen's first day? Did he have any great stories??

Very sad! It is hard to be separated daily from your big brother. Hopefully, time will lessen the anguish of that separation. He captures our hearts. GG
Elliot will blossom as he has more time with you while Owen is in school. Not that the little pup wasn't already brilliant at everything he does! Just now he'll get to have Mom's undivided attention!
