Life with Owen and Elliot

Well, Owen has a bad cold and on top of that he has decided that this is the week he will give up his afternoon nap once and for all... luckily he thinks its a special treat to stay in his room and play by himself with the door closed for an hour. We'll see how long that lasts!

Anyway, despite the development of Owen's runny nose and persistent cough, Mother's Day was wonderful. We went to our usual Sunday breakfast spot where Owen likes to read the comics...

Then we went for a beautiful, sunny hike...

Owen had a blast throwing rocks into the river with Daddy.

Then, later in the day Paul washed the dishes!!!!!!!!

We had dinner with Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Elmer and finished the day with a walk on the pier ( another of our favorite spots)...

All in all, a lovely day. I am so lucky to be the mother of such a smart, handsome, loving boy. Thank you Owen for making my Mother's Day so special!
